Ken Hartfield - President & CEO
Ken has been an entrepreneur and a professional
composer/arranger since 1973. A former member of the RCMP
Concert Band in Ottawa, Ken's accomplishments include:
Arranged and produced the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce
Bright Nights musical theme composed by Michael Conway
Baker, arranged by Ken Hartfield featuring the London
Symphony, recorded at Abby Road Studios in London, England.
Composed/arranged and produced Child Find Canada's national
theme song, Wear the Green Ribbon, featured on the CD
Hope For The Children. Composed/arranged and produced
for live shows and recording sessions in Southern California
and Las Vegas. Composed and arranged Symphony 2000 and
several concert and jazz band compositions including Pro-Play
Duets, an educational series for wind instruments.
Bill Harrison - Vice-President
Bill Harrison, has been Principal Bassoonist
of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra since 1976. He has
performed with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, McGill
Chamber Orchestra, CBC Radio and Television Orchestras,
and the orchestras of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and
Bolshoi Ballet. Bill began his Masters of Music Degree
with Leonard Sharrow, Principal Bassoonist of the NBC
Symphony and Chicago Symphony Orchestras and graduated
with his Master of Music from Boston University. One
of his proudest moments came in becoming a founding member
of the Edmonton Concert Foundation, the organization that
conceived and steered the realization of Francis Winspear
Centre of Music.
ADMINISTRATION:
Tara Kucher - Manager, Saskatoon
Campus
Tara has been with New Media Campus
since September 2001. As Office Manager she deals
directly with the staff, students, Saskatchewan Learning,
and National
Student Loans. Her experience in Administration
has led her to be the contact between our students
and the Saskatchewan/National Student Loans Department.
Tara continually works with the staff to ensure all
potential
and registered
students in the Saskatoon Campus obtain all the resources they need to
successfully attend New Media Campus.
Lyn Gatin - Director of Communications
Lyn signed on with New Media Campus as
Communications Director in 2003. Her primary responsibilities
are bookkeeping and accounts payable and receivable, as
well as acting as Assistant to Ken Hartfield. Prior to
coming to New Media Campus, Lyn worked for 10 years a
Legal Assistant in an established Saskatchewan law firm.
She also has previous experience as a business owner in
Saskatoon. This experience provides her with excellent
communication and organization skills which are an asset
to New Media Campus.
Carolann Bresch - Marketing Director
Prior to joining New Media Campus in August 2007, Carolann had been employed in the customer service industry for over 21 years in a management capacity. Her outstanding capabilities include operations management, problem solving, motivational and leadership skills as well as recruiting, training and staff development. She has had extensive experience in business, marketing, supervisory and customer relations. Her specialized skills include financial management which involved preparing budgets, providing financial advice and recommending financial strategies. Carolann’s experience and skills, as well as her outgoing personality will be an asset to New Media Campus in the capacity of Marketing Director as she travels throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta representing New Media Campus at career fairs.
ONLINE DEPARTMENT:
Jeremy Mess - Online Multimedia Instructor
Jeremy is a past graduate of New Media Campus. He took and successfully
completed both the Multimedia Professional Studies Course and the 3D
Animation and Video Game Design course. Jeremy spends his time at NMC
helping online students with their assignments, developing new curriculum
for the Multimedia course and screen capping up to date lessons for current
online students.
Brandon Hodge - Online Multimedia Instructor
Brandon is a past graduate of New Media Campus, having successfully completed the
In-Class Multimedia Professional Studies Course as well as the 3D Animation and Video Game Design Course. Brandon
spends his time at NMC helping online students with
their assignments, developing new curriculum for the
Multimedia course and screen capping lessons for current
online students.
INSTRUCTORS:
Richard
Buckley- 3D Animation - Saskatoon
Richard has obtained his Bachelor of
Arts, Bachelor of Education, and Masters in Business Administration,
as well is educated in a number of courses from Alias
Wavefront and SGI. Richard's past work experience ranges
from Acting Director of Media and Technology and the University
of Saskatchewan and Manager of SCN Broadcasting Operations.
Richard is currently working on the video game Foreverworlds
for Hexagon Entertainment.
Malcolm
Macleod- Multimedia - Saskatoon
Malcolm has been instructing 3D Animation and Multimedia for the past 6 years. Having completed a program for Multimedia and 3D Animation Studies in Saskatoon, Malcolm continued his studies at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, CA in 2002. Malcolm has recently been employed with Mindsablaze Visual Communications based in Vancouver creating web content for their clients.
